Despite Tropical Storm Fay, we had Lauren's 6th Bithday party Saturday. Since Ish is a lineman for the City, he missed the party. He was out fixing power outages from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. The weather really wasn't bad. They let the kids out of school early Friday, and it didn't even start raining until 7:00 p.m. or later. Even then, it wasn't a heavy rain, but the wind got a little gusty. That's what kept knocking the power out. My grandmother's back porch is really low, so it doesn't take much rain before water starts coming in her back door. She called the City to get some sand bags, but they were out. So the dispatcher sent the Fire Dept. over to dig a trench so the water would run off her porch. They told her if it didn't work to call them back, and they would dig some more. That was really nice of them to get out in the rain and dig a trench.
Since school has started back, Lauren has gotten interested in Hannah Montana.
Everytime she opened a gift, she would hold it up over her head like this.
Here she is trying to figure out how much money Nana gave her.
She got several outfits and lots of Hannah Montana stuff.

Wow, that was nice of them to come dig trenches for your grandmother. We got a lot of rain, but thankfully no power outages.
